Coach Rodriguez Bio
I completed my undergraduate degree at Texas State University with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and a Bachelor of Arts in May of 2005. In August of 2012 I completed my Masters in Education Administration from Lamar University. I worked as an Athletic Trainer for Pasadena Memorial High School for three years and for Galena Park High School for six years before changing career paths and becoming a health science teacher at North Shore Senior High School.
This is my fourth year as the physical education teacher for Garrett Elementary and am super excited to continue as as a GATOR!!! I love working with children and am enthusiastic about promoting physical fitness as fun and for helping students learn the value of activity for health, recreation, and social interaction. My goal is to develop physically literate individuals who have the knowledge, skills and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of healthful physical activity.
I have been happily married to Arnold Rodriguez for twelve years and have two beautiful children, Amaury Rodriguez who is nine and Mila Rodriguez who is five. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and my children, I love working out with camp gladiator, watching TV, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
