Gator’s After School Program
Have you heard the news? We are excited to announce that the Gator's after-school program will be offered free for students for the 2021-2022 school year. Under the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Centers Grant. The Sheldon ISD After-School program is an after-school academic and enrichment program supported by the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Centers Grant through the Texas Education Agency. The after-school program is offered 3 hours daily, five days per week.
Goals of the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Centers After School Programs:
- Enhance state or local reform efforts to improve student academic achievement and support overall student development.
- Create community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities for children.
- The 21st CCLC funds will create and expand out-of-school-time programs that offer extended learning opportunities for children
and their families.
