Dear Parent and Guardians,

I hope this message finds you and your families in good health and high spirits.  My name is Chad Davis, and it is with great pleasure and excitement that I introduce myself as the new School Principal of Garrett Elementary.

I am truly honored to join this remarkable community of parents, students, and educators.  I come to Garrett with a deep passion for education and over 15 years of experience in the field.  I hold a masters' degree in educational administration and have had the privilege of serving in various leadership roles throughout my career.  These experiences have shaped my educational philosophy and instilled in me a strong belief in the transformative power of education.

As the new principal, I am committed to providing your children with an outstanding learning experience in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.  I firmly believe that every child is unique and has the potential to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.  It is my goal to work collaboratively with you and our dedicated team of educators to create an environment that fosters their growth, curiosity, and love for learning.

I value open communication and believe that strong partnerships between school and home are essential for your child's success.  I encourage you to share your thoughts, concerns, and aspirations for your child's education.  I m here to listen, support, and work with you to ensure that we provide the best possible educational experience for your child.

Please know that my door is always open, and I encourage you to reach out to me or our dedicated staff members with any questions or concerns you may have.  Together, we can create an environment where your child thrives academically, develops essential life skills, and prepares for a bright and successful future.

I am truly excited to begin this journey with you and your children.  Your support and active involvement are invaluable, and together, we can make a significant and positive impact on the educational experience of every student at Garrett.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education.  I am honored to serve as your new School Principal and look forward to getting to know each and every one of you.

Warm Regards,

Chad Davis, Principal

Assistant Principal

Dear Parents, Students, and Stakeholders,

My name is Jasmine Bell, and it is my pleasure to serve my 2nd year as Assistant Principal/Dean of Instruction of Garrett Elementary School. I am currently entering my 20th year in education. I graduated from Alabama State University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  In 2008, I received my masters degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision. As a native of Mobile, Alabama, I moved to Houston, Texas in 2019.  Since relocating here, I have had the privilege to serve in the Sheldon ISD school district.  Throughout my educational career, I have been a 4th grade teacher, 5th grade teacher, title one facilitator, instructional partner, interventionist, campus instructional specialist, and now the assistant principal.

Beginning out as a young educator, I quickly realized educators have an awesome job of shaping the lives of our future.  My goal as your child’s assistant principal is to encourage students by teaching them that mistakes are acceptable as long as learning continues to take place during the process.

Education should always influence the hearts and minds of students through technology, engagement, as well as experiential learning.  My ultimate goal is to help create lifelong learners that can become productive citizens in the ever-changing world.

As a liaison for children, it is my responsibility to speak up for equity and equality for all children.  I realize that I am the link between home and school.  All stakeholders play a vital role in helping children reach their highest potential.

I intend to always make learning experiences exciting and inspiring.  Education should allow students to advance in their achievement through goal setting.  The educational environment should enable students to accomplish personal goals as well as meeting requirements in their curriculum.

I believe effective learning can take place inside and outside the classroom when TRUST, RESPECT, CONSISTENCY, COMMUNICATION, AND SUPPORT are all present.
